Zachary Rosenberg

FOUNDER

Zach began his career nearly 40 years ago, working in account management on the full-service side at storied agencies including JWT, DDB and Chiat/Day. While at Chiat/Day, Zach was selected to be a part of Jay Chiat’s prestigious “Agency of the Future” task force, which helped to create the virtual office, a concept that was far ahead of its time. 

After a decade on the creative agency side and foretelling a wave of media specialization, Zach joined Western Media (now Initiative) in 1995 as SVP, Group Account Director to manage Walt Disney business spanning multiple divisions of the company. 

Drawing on his passion for media, Zach joined Horizon Media in 2000 as EVP, general manager and led the West Coast operation for 11 years before being elevated to Chief Growth Officer for the entire agency. During Zach’s tenure, he helped catapult the agency into the largest privately held media services agency in the world. 

Zach joined privately held MBMG in 2015 as president and ran the agency for over three years experiencing year-over-year growth, managing a wide variety of clients and agency partners.

Zach’s client experience runs across diverse categories including entertainment, retail, healthcare, gaming, restaurant, insurance and consumer packaged goods.

In 2009, Zach was the recipient of thinkLA’s prestigious “Leader of the Year” award, an honor typically bestowed on creative leaders in Southern California. For 15 years and counting, Zach has been an active board member of thinkLA, a media, marketing and advertising collective with a mission to connect, inspire and educate the Los Angeles marketing community.

 
 
 
 

Zach is a frequent contributor of articles and thought pieces on a variety of provocative topics to the major industry trade publications spanning Ad Age, Adweek, MediaPost, Broadcasting & Cable, Sports Business Journal, to name a few. Zach also moderates panels for various organizations including Mirren, Promax, Portada and thinkLA and is a frequent judge for the final round of the Effie’s, held annually in New York.

Zach is a graduate of Pepperdine University and is a regular guest speaker/contributor to their advertising program and, for the past 20+ years, has hired the best and brightest graduates.

In early 2019, Zach was bitten by the entrepreneurial bug and decided to leverage his vast network to help marketers and agencies alike. Zach has always been a dedicated networker with the ultimate goal of helping clients and agencies solve problems.
